I think the cover symbolizes the 2 different perspectives of Bryce and Juliana. They both have different opinions of each other so I think that is wear the title " Flipped" came from. I think the chick on the cover represents how Bryce and Juliana grow and change in the story. The beginning of the book is when Bryce moves in during grade 2 and chapter 3 is in grade 7 so I think that the majority of the book will be in grade 7 and 8 when they are going through puberty and changes.

  1. I agree with you Ellen, but I think that the author should have put another chick on top of that one (except right side up) because then each chick would represent either Juliana or Bryce. Also because the chicks could be flipped to show how their personalities are kind-of flipped.

  2. Ya joy that makes sense. I also think that the title Flipped could represent if this happens juli's and bryce's opinions on each other changing or flipping.

  3. I think both Joy and Ellen are right because if there are 2 chicks then they could be rebresenting both characters but I think that maybe there is only one chick because that in the book the chick is representing only one chracter's change because it is more important by involving their change in the solution.I think the person who will change the most will be Bryce because he is very disrespectful for the things Juli does for him. Who do you think will change and why?

  4. I also agree because maybe the author should have put on the front 2 eggs and on the back maybe put 2 flipped chicks.

  5. I think this because it could show that at the beginning they have different thoughts about eachother but as the book goes by the their thoughts become flipped and that's why I think that there should be 2 chicks on the back to show that they have grown up and to represent that because they're grown up their thoughts have been flipped about eachother.
